Robert Olisa Nzekwu

Robert Olisa Nzekwu was born in 1985 in Vienna, Austria and received his first violin lesson at the age of five. He studied at the music universities in Vienna, Graz and Montréal with Stefan Kamilarov (Vienna), Claude Richard (Montréal) and Thomas Zehetmair (Graz). He also studied baroque violin and performance practice with Hiro Kurosaki. In 2011 he passed his Master degree in Vienna with distinction.

Robert Olisa Nzekwu is a dedicated artist of contemporary music. He works regularly with “Ensemble Wiener Collage”, “Ensemble Quasars”, “Ensemble Zeitfluss”, “Ensemble XXJ”, and many others .

As a solist and passionate chamber musician, Robert Olisa Nzekwu performed in many concert halls including: Konzerthaus Vienna and Konzerthaus Berlin, Musikvereien Vienna, Kölner Philharmonie, Tonhalle Zürich, Carnegie Hall New York, Wigmore Hall London and many others.
In 2008 he toured through europe as the 2nd violinist of the “Zehetmair Quartet” and since 2015 he is a member of the “Alliance Quartett Wien”.
