The Alliance Quartett Wien was founded in 2008 by four young musicians from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and is now one of the most sought-after young string quartets from Austria.
Since its nomination for the junior music program "New Austrian Sound Of Music" of the Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs, the quartet has also been internationally active.
It has performed on various events such as the concert series of the Jeunesse Österreich, the "Meerschein Matineen Graz", the "Kammermusikkonzerte Amstetten", the "Zeller Sommerkonzerte", the "Sommerfestival Rovinj" (Croatia), the "semana de música de cámera en Castro" (Chile), the "Festival Internacional Música Clásica por los Caminos del Vino" (Argentina), the "Lux Festspielwoche Ruhla", the "Beethoven Festival Baden", the „Musiktage Mondsee“, etc.
Moreover, the quartet has performed several times at the Wiener Musikverein.
Besides the passion to revive the chamber music literature through interpretation elaborated with love and care, the quartet is also very interested in contemporary compositions.
